It is something that moves me, inspires me and has changed me as a person.
Photography actually taught me how to live in the moment. And not just say it, really really experience it. To know what it feels like to stand by the road on a cold wintery morning and see the sun come up, and feel it warm you so your hands stopped shaking.
To wait for an hour in the sun craning your neck till you thought the pain was going to kill you and be rewarded with eye contact with an owl.
To stand in my balcony in the rain (and worry about how much damage I was subjecting my camera to) and experience getting soaked in the rain. Of course I did get an amazing lightning shot.
Photography also taught me to enjoy that moment – really live in it, without being attached to the result. To breathe without abandon and to breathe deep. And also, being open to whatever life throws at you. To have an experience every time I shoot which makes me forget myself, and be a part of something so much bigger than all of us. And its something i strive to recreate each time I pick my camera.
Here’s a portfolio of images shot by me which are available as customized prints.
We print in house on various paper, canvas and metal media (Ilford, Hahnemuhle, Epson).
