The first Covid wave. A time of silence, caution, and uncertainty. And in the middle of it, Sonal & Varun’s Punjabi wedding—spirited, colourful, defiantly joyful.

I shot it alone, expecting the isolation to weigh heavy. Instead, what I found was warmth. They welcomed me not as an outsider with a camera, but as family. Their generosity turned the assignment into something profoundly personal. Amidst all the chaos of the world, here was a pocket of love, laughter, and resilience. One that reminded us why weddings matter.
